Bylaws of Kausin Komotion

Amended 07-08-2009

Purpose

To unite custom vehicle enthusiasts.
To participate in car/truck shows, cruise-ins, runs etc.
To put forth a positive image for both the club as well as the custom vehicle scene as a whole.
To promote interest in our sport.
To have FUN.

General Club Rules

Members are required to participate in a minimum of three (3) shows per year unless under major construction/reconstruction.
Keep your ride clean.
Get along with fellow members and other clubs.
Always show pride and have fun.
All members must attend meetings. (Missing 3 meetings in a row without a legitimate excuse will result in club termination)
Meetings are for members only.
Club logo must be on your ride at all times while a member. If terminated from the club or you decide to leave the club, you must remove all logos from your ride.
New members pay a one-time fee of $25 (This fee goes toward website hosting, club functions, etc.)
Remember, every time you wear a club shirt or someone sees the club logo, they form an opinion. We want to keep our club reputable and positive.
When in Kausin Komotion, you are only in Kausin Komotion.

New Membership

Must be 18 years old.
Be invited to a meeting by a current member
Be voted in at that meeting to become a “Rookie”. You will be issued a “Rookie” sticker for your ride. The majority of the club must be present in order to have an official vote.
Rookies are required to do 3 shows with the club within a 12-month period. After the third show they will become eligible for a full stickered membership vote.
New members are responsible for purchasing their own club logo for their ride.
Rookie T-shirts are provided by the club and must be worn on award day at shows. T-shirts will be hand decorated with our logo, attending members signatures, and other appropriate art work.

Three Strike Policy

· The club has a three-strike policy. Receive three strikes in a year's time and you will be asked to leave the club

To receive a strike against a member is at the discretion of the executive board.

· A strike may be issued upon failure to abide by the by-laws.

Election of Officers

· The officers of the club consist of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Membership Chair.

· Officers are elected once a year in December by the general membership

· To be nominated for an office you must be a stickered member for at least a year and be in good standings with the club.

· Nominations are by fellow members and nominees must be up to date with dues

· There is NO limit to the length of time a person can hold an office.
